Power has been restored to all SMSD campuses, and school will resume as normal tomorrow, September 2, 2026.

School Closing - September 1, 2026 - Due to power outages on several of our campuses and the uncertainty surrounding restoration times, Senatobia Municipal School District will be closed today. All schools will be closed.

Our school nurses are sending home an updated medication authorization form with students today. If you would like your child to be able to receive medication from the school nurse under the physician’s standing orders, please review, sign, and return the form to your child’s school as soon as possible.
Thank you for your prompt attention to this form and for helping us ensure our nurses can appropriately care for your child’s health needs while at school.
The elementary school and OLC campuses are not included in the boil water notice and may operate as usual.
Proper precautions are being taken on the affected campuses. We will provide an update as soon as the notice is lifted.
We are pleased to share that water service has been restored to all SMSD school buildings, and our facilities are able to operate as normal. School will be in session tomorrow, Thursday, August 13, 2026.
We will remain in communication with City of Senatobia officials and will share any additional updates if needed.

Due to the ongoing water main repair in the area of Porter Street and Highway 51 North and the resulting loss of water and necessary building functionality, all SMSD schools will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday, August 12, 2026.
We will continue to monitor the situation closely and communicate updates as soon as they are received by the school district.
