A suspect in the threats made against the SMSD schools has been arrested. Based upon information provided by the Senatobia Municipal School District, the Senatobia Police Department conducted an investigation into the threats made against the school this week. Within four hours of today’s threat, SPD served a search warrant at a residence in Sardis and took the suspect believed to be responsible for threats made on Monday (April 8) and today (Wednesday, April 10) into custody. The suspect is not a Senatobia Municipal School District student.
SMSD’s highest priority is the safety of our students and staff. We would like to thank the Senatobia Police Department and all other cooperating law enforcement agencies for their quick response, thorough investigation, and the apprehension of the suspect.
Thank you to our community for your support as we navigated this issue. Our staff moved quickly to ensure the safety of our students. Our students were responsible, ready, and respectful throughout the process. The response of our staff and students to the challenges of these past days makes us all proud to be Warriors.
